Bound Brook, N.J.-based Somerset Tire Service (STS) Inc. has purchased Ramapo Discount Tire Centers, a seven-store dealership headquartered in northern New Jersey.
"Ramapo Tire is a perfect fit, with locations complementing our existing stores in a growing market," says STS President Bill Caulin.
Ramapo has six retail stores and one wholesale outlet.
STS operates 83 retail shops throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, plus seven wholesale locations in the same states and also Massachusetts.
It is the 10th largest independent retail tire chain in North America with $100 million in annual sales, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.
