SEMA Show priority selection deadline nears

May 3, 2010

Companies that have not yet applied to exhibit at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show have until May 7 to participate in SEMA's priority booth space selection process.

"The space selection process is significant becayse it's the first real step leading up to exhibiting at the SEMA Show," says Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of communications and events. "More importantly, however, is that it allows us an opportunity to start working with exhibitors to help maximize the return on their investment."

This year's SEMA Show will take place Nov. 2-5 in Las Vegas, Nev. More than 1,000 exhibitors have committed to the event so far, say SEMA officials. Included in that number are 100-plus first time exhibitors.

"We're pleased to see so many new exhibitors sign up this early in the process. It is important that we work closely with all exhibitors so that they are aware of all the money-saving programs that are available. However, it's especially critical for those exhibiting for the first time to know about the many ways we can help them be successful."

In related news, SEMA is conducting its first-ever SEMA Show Exhibitor Summit May 25-27 in Las Vegas. Open to all 2010 SEMA Show exhibitors at no cost, the event will include a workshop where exhibitors can meet with show staff and experts.

"We're confident that exhibitors participating in the summit will discover new ways to save money and better connect with buyers. We're looking forward to helping these exhibitors achieve their goals."
