Charlie Case Tire Co. has announced it will be acquired by and merged with AM-PAC Tire Distributors Inc., a business unit of Itochu International.
Charlie Case Tire Co. has four retail stores in Phoenix, Tuscon and Casa Grande, Ariz., and El Paso, Texas, and five wholesale warehouses in Phoenix, Tuscon, Las Vegas, Nev., Albuquerque, N.M., and El Paso.
AM-PAC Tire Distributors, based in Simi Valley, Calif., is the sixth largest tire distribution network in North America, according to Modern Tire Dealer statistics, with 220 franchises.
Charlie Case Tire Co. and AM-PAC are both members of American Car Care Centers, the number one distribution network in North America with more than 1,000 affiliated dealers.
Claude Case, president of the 56-year-old company, and other senior Charlie Case Tire executives will be come employees of AM-PAC under the terms of the letter of intent signed recently.
