TIA accepting nominations for board of directors

April 16, 2010

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting nominations for service on the 2010-2011 board of directors.

TIA board directors serve for three-year terms and may be re-elected to serve two additional, three-year terms.

“Any TIA member in good standing or an official representative of an industry association may recommend candidates to the nominating committee in accordance with the TIA bylaws,” explains TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield. “Self-nominations are also welcome.”

All nominations should be submitted by completing and returning the TIA board of directors nomination form to the TIA office in Bowie, Md. Nominations must be received no later than 5 p.m., EDT, on April 30, 2010, to be considered.

To download a nominating form, visit the “Board of Directors” tab under “About” at www.tireindustry.org. If you do not have access to the Internet, call TIA at (800) 876-8372, ext. 109, or e-mail [email protected] to request a board nomination form.

“TIA is looking for members with a passion for the tire industry,” says Littlefield. “Becoming a volunteer member requires a time commitment, with conference calls and meetings throughout the year. We believe the investment of time is definitely worth the experience members receive that are elected to the board.”
