Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. has introduced the eco Solus KL21, a passenger tire designed specifically for the fast-growing crossover vehicle segment.
The eco Solus KL21 will be available April 22 in 21 sizes, ranging from 16 inches to 20 inches in diameter. It comes in T-, H- and V-rated configurations.
"As crossovers have a higher center of gravity compared to a sedan, stability is vital," say Kumho officials. "The straight rib design and solid center rib greatly enhance handling and stability, and give consistent tread stiffness for precise steering."
The tire's all-season traction is provided by a unique tread compound that boosts low temperature grip while lowering its overall rolling resistance.
The eco Solus KL21 comes with a 60,000-mile limited tread wear warranty. It's the second product "from Kumho's eco-friendly line of tires to be launched this year. The Eco Solus HM, a premium high mileage tire with a 100,000-mile limited tread wear warranty" is currently on sale.
