Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. will introduce the Proxes C1S ultra-high performance tire to the European market this spring.
The asymmetric tire contains two tread zones. "The inside of the tire provides sublime ride comfort and exceptionally low noise," say Toyo officials. "The outside edge provides effortless handling where high-speed agility is required."
Other features include "noise protection sheets," wide edge plies and more.
"An optimized tread profile means that the (tire's) high speed performance and comfort are supplemented by a 5% reduction in rolling resistance, leading to lower carbon emissions and fuel consumption."
The Proxes C1S will be available initially in 37 sizes, ranging in size from 15 inches to 20 inches in diameter.
