Makita-sponsored Sno-Cross Team competes in Hayward 300

March 10, 2010

Under blue skies with a standing-room only crowd, Robbie Malinoski of Makita-sponsored Scheuring Speed Sports clawed his way from a second row starting sport to a fifth overall in the Pro Open class in Sno-Cross racing at Hayward, Wisconsin.  The result keeps the Lino Lakes, Minnesota resident in contention for a top three year-end spot, as series finale approaches in just two weeks.

Malinoski’s teammate Andrew Johnstad finished the race eighth overall but gained yet another position in the series standings. Johnstad has been one of the more consistent riders in the Open class during the last month of racing and still has a shot at joining teammate Malinoski in the top three.
Makita’s sponsorship of Scheuring Speed Sports is part of Makita’s growing list of active partnerships in live racing and action sports.

“Makita knows live racing, whether it’s in the dirt with supercross, motocross, and off-road, on the fast track with superbike racing, or in the snow in high-powered sno-cross,“ said Brent Withey, Makita senior brand manager.  “Scheuring Speed Sports always races for the podium, and we’re happy to be a part of the action in 2010.”
