2015 already? Yes, it’s here and with the new year comes the opportunity to set business and professional goals. Modern Tire Dealer columnist Wayne Williams suggests four goals for 2015.

  1. Pick a category to improve sales by 10%: alignments, performance tire sales, custom wheels or overall service revenue.
  2. Reduce customer complaints by improving communication skills.
  3. Commit to become an SUV/CUV tire expert; research sizes and fitments and offer the best value in your marketplace.
  4. Establish three goals: immediate goal, longer-term goal and dream goal.

He also has some tips for beating procrastination, an enemy of business success. See “A hard look at procrastination” online or the December digital or print edition of Modern Tire Dealer.

Due to the holiday, the next edition of HotWire will be published on Jan. 5. The MTD staff wishes our readers a safe and happy new year!
