New flotation sizes continue an LT tire trend

Dec. 17, 2014

In just a few months, the Tire & Rim Association will release its 2015 Yearbook. In it you will find everything you want to know about available tire, wheel and valve sizing.

A sneak peek into the 2014 edition reveals  a number of new passenger, light truck, truck, agricultural, OTR, industrial and utility tire sizes. For example, the number of LT flotation sizes is on the rise.

Here are three new Load Range E flotation sizes that independent tire dealers can expect to see in their shops within the next three years.

1. 37x12.50R22LT.

2. 35x13.50R20LT.

3. 38x13.50R20LT.

If you have been waiting for a Load Range M 445/65R22.5 wide-base truck tire, that, too, is available.

Look for a list of all the new consumer and commercial sizes in the 2015 Tire & Rim Association Yearbook. Can't wait for the first-quarter release of the yearbook? The new passenger and light truck tire sizes will be listed in Modern Tire Dealer's January 2015 Facts Issue.
