Toyo to celebrate 70th anniversary in 2015

Dec. 17, 2014

Toyo Tire and Rubber Co. Ltd.  will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the company’s founding in August 2015.

For the occasion the company designed a 70th anniversary logo. The “7” represents “an arrow stretching toward rapid future growth” and the “0” symbolizes “connected teamwork.” The company says it plans to use this logo in calendars, advertising material and various other applications in order to convey our appreciation as Toyo Tires approaches its 70th anniversary.

In conjunction with the 70th anniversary, Toyo Tires is building a new headquarters in Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, and will relocate to the new premises in August 2015. In order to reinforce the global growth of our strategic businesses and create more agile management through speedier decision making, Toyo Tires is centralizing its management functions and boosting its internal mobility and sense of unity in our quest for sustained, innovative growth.

Toyo Tires was born in August 1945 with the hopes of a new generation just prior to the announcement of the end of World War Two. Today, the company develops and manufactures a wide range of products rooted in its proprietary technology, including automobile tires as its core product as well as anti-vibration rubber for automobiles, urethane products and industrial-use rubber products. Toyo Tires conducts business in over 100 countries and regions. We are deeply grateful to the countless customers and affiliates whose support has made it possible for our company to sustain and grow our business for 70 years.
