China Manufacturers Alliance LLC (CMA) recently expanded its Double Coin truck tire line with new sizes. CMA Vice President Walt Weller talked about the additions to Modern Tire Dealer at the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.
An 18-ply 245/70R17.5 size is new to the Double Coin RT500 trailer tire line.
A 14-ply 225/70R19.5 is available in the RT600 steer/all-position tire line. "That size is coming on all the new heavy-duty pickups, the 350's and 450's," said Weller.
CMA also is bringing in a new pattern, RR706, in a new size for Double Coin, an 18-ply 12R24.5. The tire is designed primarily for the construction and logging markets.
"It's a tubeless version of an 11R22. It's an imporant tire in that segment," he added.
