Dec. 3, 2014

Discount Tire has opened three new stores, adding to its network that spans 28 states. The newest stores are in St. Charles, Ill., Evansville, Ind., and Parma Heights, Ohio.

Combined, these new stores employ 43 people.

“The need for tires is always growing,” said Gil Garcia, regional vice president for Discount Tire. “With winter upon us, it is more important than ever to ensure (these communities have) a trusted tire expert to educate them about the basics of winter tire safety.”

Matt Jirsa, an employee for 13 years, will manage the store in St. Charles. Nick Reynolds, an employee of 11 years, will manage the store in Evansville. Chris Sallie, an employee of 16 years, will manage the store in Parma Heights.
