Purcell adds location in Arizona
Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. has opened a new retail and commercial tires and service center location in Tucson, Ariz.
The company says the outlet is one of the largest facilities of its kind in Tucson. The facility has six retail bays, three drive-through commercial bays, equipment to perform heavy truck alignments and provides roadside assistance service. Purcell also offers a full line of fleet maintenance services for local businesses.
“The Purcell family is excited to add this important center to our network of facilities across the country,” says Mark Laster, manager of the new Tucson location.
“We are sitting right next to Interstate 10, one of the largest volumes of truck traffic in the country. We will be able to service fleet vehicles with ease; getting them in and out with quick reliable service.”
The company will host a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Dec. 4, 2014. The event will start at 11:00 a.m. with presentations from Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and company executives Bob and Juanita Purcell at noon. Bob is Purcell’s chairman and Juanita is COO.
Purcell is a family-owned business that was started in 1936 by Robert Purcell. He opened the first location in Washington, Mo. The company has operations in 10 states today.
Purcell is No. 14 on the Modern Tire Dealer 100 ranking of the nation’s top independent tire dealers with 66 locations: 27 retail stores, 34 combination commercial/retail outlets and 5 commercial locations. The company also has two wholesale outlets and six retread shops.
