Standard & Poor's assigned its 'BBB' rating to $21,875,000 worth of class A-1, 8% corporate-backed trust certificates (series 2001-34) issued by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
The rating reflects the credit quality of the underlying securities: $25 million, 7% notes due March 15, 2028, (BBB rating) issued by Goodyear. It also addresses the likelihood of the trust making payments as required under the trust agreement, according to Standard & Poors.
