Bandag Inc. promoted John McErlane to president of its Tire Distribution Systems Inc. (TDS) subsidiary, as well as vice president of the parent company itself. He was formerly vice president of marketing and sales.
The announcement ends sixth months of searching for a new TDS president. TDS, which owns and operates 103 truck tire and retreading locations in 17 states, recorded sales of $400 million in 2000.
Prior to joining Bandag in 1985, McErlane worked for three national trucking companies. He specialized in vehicle engineering and maintenance.
