Trelleborg focuses on high performance at EIMA

Nov. 12, 2014

Trelleborg Wheel Systems is displaying high-performance tires and digital tools at the 2014 International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition (EIMA) in Bologna, Italy, Nov. 12-16.

Displays include the company’s latest product innovation, the IF 900/65R46 TM1000 High Power tire. The TM1000 High Power will be suspended on a stand over an ant to emphasize the tire's advertising campaign slogan: "Trelleborg, over 1,000 pounds of lightness."

Trelleborg says the display highlights the footprint of the tire; the widest on the market that provides optimum pressure distribution. The TM1000 High Power protects land from compaction, boosting productivity and ensuring higher crop yields. Reduced rolling resistance results in low fuel consumption and emissions, helping to produce more in a sustainable way.

Trelleborg is also featuring its ProgressiveTraction tire, a concept of agricultural tires specifically designed to improve farming efficiency thanks to a double lug. Operating on the soil at different times, the double lug progressively releases higher traction where and when required.

Trelleborg’s booth also includes the TM3000 range of tires developed for harvesting applications, and the TH400 Agro Industrial radial range of tires for telescopic handlers, backhoes and mini loaders.

The company is offering booth visitors access to its digital tools, including the recently launched ‘Tire Efficiency’ app for iOS and Android tablets.

Based on the concept of the total cost of ownership, the app measures the benefits provided by a set of Trelleborg tires for one axle both in terms of cost savings and reduced working time over one year of operation, according to the company.

Booth visitors can also play Trelleborg's new "Farming Simulator 15" video game. The game gives young farmers the opportunity to take on the challenges of modern agriculture while becoming familiar with Trelleborg tires across a range of applications.
