New Sears Web site feature lets buyers match tires to vehicles

Order Reprints

Sears, Roebuck & Co. has added a feature to its sears.com Web site that lets users select the right tires for their vehicles by entering their car or truck's year, make and model.

Browsers can sort tires by price, brand or product name and then compare them to similar items.

However, Sears officials emphasize the company is not selling tires through its Web site "because (they) must be installed on a vehicle."

But the site contains a Sears Auto Centers locator that provides customers with a map to the outlet nearest them.
