Radar Tires Class 10 buggy on display at SEMA

Nov. 3, 2014

Less than two weeks before the SCORE International 47th Annual Tecate Baja 1000, the No. 1031 Radar Tires Class 10 Alumni Craft Buggy will try its luck in Las Vegas during the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show on Nov. 4-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Co-driven by Mike Johnson, Mike Majesky and Brent Fletcher, the No. 1031 Radar Tires Class 10 Racing Buggy is one of the main attractions of the SCORE International Baja 1000 Experience in Booth V426. The buggy displayed is the same racing machine that won the 2013 Mojave Off-Road Racing Enthusiasts (MORE) New Years 200 and back-to-back SCORE Baja 500 races (2013-2014) for a total of six podium finishes in eight races.

Now in its second year of off-road desert racing with Radar Tires, Bronson Motorsports continues to use special non-DOT size 33X10.50R15 Radar Renegade R5 race tires. Currently third in points, the Bronson Motorsports team is within reach of the 2014 SCORE International Class 10 Championship.

“We’ve had tremendous success in our long-course, off-road racing programs,” said Scott Rhodes, vice president sales, Omni United USA, the parent company of Radar Tires. “We’ve amassed four wins and a total of nine podium finishes in nine desert races. Mike Johnson and his Bronson Motorsports team in the Radar Tires-sponsored buggy are third in points with an opportunity to win the Baja 1000 and the Class 10 Championship in a few weeks. We’re thrilled to have them and the buggy with us in Las Vegas before tackling the desert.”
