Bridgestone Bandag LLC’s retread facility in Oxford, N.C., has pledged a charitable donation of $30,000 to the Granville Health System Foundation.

The Foundation supports the Oxford community as a charitable resource for Granville Health System (GHS), providing quality health care to all citizens of the community, where they work and live. The pledge affirms Bridgestone’s commitment to the Oxford community.

“We are extremely pleased to support Granville Health System with this donation,” says Mark Averette, plant manager. “This donation will afford the system to become an exceptional health service provider for our Oxford community.”

The Oxford retread facility employs more than 200 people and produces tread rubber and retreading materials. The plant has been an active member of Oxford since 1970.
