Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. will supply its premium highway all-season SUV tire, Dynapro HT (pattern code: RH12) in size 275/55R20T AS, for the 2015 Lincoln Navigator luxury sport utility vehicle.
The 20-inch size will be factory-equipped on the 2015 Lincoln Navigator as standard equipment built mainly for the North American market.
The company says the new original equipment (OE) agreement marks further penetration into the Lincoln brand as well as the luxury SUV segment.
Following on the heels of the Lincoln MKT and MKZ fitted with Hankook products, the company says it successfully satisfied Lincoln’s strict original equipment criteria in the testing, tuning and customizing processes for the new Navigator.
The Dynapro HT enhances the new Lincoln Navigator dynamics and a smooth, engaging ride, according to Hankook. The tire’s optimized tread compound helps provide longer mileage with better snow traction and improved all-season performance, while a high stiffness center block offers enhanced steering response. Additionally, the tire’s enlarged, computer generated tread footprint provides less noise and excellent grip performance.
Hankook’s OE business is expanding with premium auto brands, according to Byung Il Woo, vice president of Hankook’s global OE division.
