Petro Stopping Centers adds Michelin X-One to inventory

Aug. 2, 2001

Michelin North America Inc. announced a deal to sell its X-One "super single" tire through Petro Stopping Centers nationwide.

Michelin says all 59 Petro Lube Truck Maintenance Centers will inventory the X-One XDA drive and X-One XTA trailer tires in size 445/50R22.5, which matches the diameter and revolutions per mile of the low profile 22.5 dual. The facilities also stock a complete line of Michelin long-haul highway truck tires.

"Petro Stopping Centers... are the cornerstone of the Michelin travel plaza network," according to the company.

The X-One drive and trailer tires feature Michelin's InfiniCoil technology -- a stabilizing belt construction that runs perpendicular to the radial ply for wear and handling optimization.

Petro Stopping Centers have separate gasoline and diesel fuel islands, Petro Lube Truck Maintenance Centers and a main building that includes an Iron Skillet Restaraunt, travel and convenience store, private showers, laundry facilities, business services and game rooms. Some locations also host fast-food centers.
