Toyo releases Versado Noir

Sept. 8, 2014

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.’s new Toyo Versado Noir is a premium, all-season touring tire for sedans and coupes. Designed to stand out in the sea of “round and black” tires, the Versado Noir offers long tread life plus fuel efficiency and a quiet, comfortable ride throughout the life of the tire.

“Our new Versado Noir offers uncompromised luxury, longevity and all-season performance for many of today’s popular cars,” says Roy Bromfield, chief operating officer.

The Versado Noir’s new proprietary silica compound increases tread life while also enhancing wet performance and improving fuel efficiency. Toyo’s Silent Wall technology in the tread grooves reduces road noise.

The distinctive asymmetric tread pattern of the Versado Noir has rigid outside tread blocks which act as a sound wall for a quieter ride, and stabilize the tread for improved wear while being tuned for responsiveness. The inner portion of the tread has a higher sipe density to further improve traction in both the rain and snow.

Multi-wave sipes are another complex molding feature found with the Versado Noir design. These interlocking sipes decrease tread block movement, and keep more of the tire tread in contact with the road surface, for improved wet and dry performance as well as reduced irregular wear.

Sizes range from 15- to 18-inches in wheel diameter, fitting most popular cars. It comes with a 75,000-mile warranty and is eligible for the Toyo Tires No Regrets 45-day/500-mile trial offer.

The Versado Noir, along with the company’s new Open Country R/T all-terrain tire, was introduced to Toyo dealers through the company’s recent “All or Nothing Road Tour.” See “Toyo takes training on the road.”
