SEMA plans Chicago expo

Aug. 2, 2001

The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) will stage its SEMA Spring Expo April 5-7, 2002, in Chicago, Ill., at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center near O'Hare Airport.

"Everyone can't get to Las Vegas to attend the SEMA Show," says SEMA President Charles Blum. "We are bringing the products for newer vehicles east of the Mississippi for the convenience of buyers."

The Chicago show will include new automotive aftermarket products, including tires and custom wheels, plus educational programs and social events, according to SEMA officials.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 5 and 6, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 7. Seminars are scheduled for Friday and Saturday mornings with repeat sessions on Sunday.
