Discount Tire has opened stores in Lexington, S.C., and Clarksville, Tenn. The company now operates nine stores in South Carolina and 16 stores in Tennessee.
The Lexington store is the company’s first in the city and has nine employees, five of which are new hires. The store is managed by James Smith, who has 10 years with the company.
The Clarksville location is Discount Tire’s first in that community. Thirteen of the 16 employees are new hires. The store is managed by Bryan Clifton, who has worked for Discount Tire for 10 years.
Discount Tire operates more than 875 stores. The company is based in Scottsdale, Ariz., and does business under the trade name Discount Tire in most of the U.S. and America’s Tire in Oregon and parts of Washington and California.
Discount Tire is part of the Reinalt-Thomas Corp. and ranks No. 1 on the 2014 MTD 100.
