2021 Tire Shipments Expected to Beat Pre-Pandemic Figures

The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association expects total tire shipments in 2021 to exceed pre-pandemic levels, according to the group’s latest estimates. And the newest projections show a notable increase in every segment of the replacement tire market.
The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association says it approves of the recently finalized, bipartisan infrastructure package. It includes provisions "that will help advance research and integration of technologies derived from scrap rubber."
The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) says it supports the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Tire Industry Project and its new roadmap for the tire sector, "Sustainability Driven: Accelerating Impact with the Tire Sector SDG Roadmap."
