Dealers Still Speculate Volumes Will increase Going Forward

According to the results of our survey, demand for passenger and light truck replacement tires declined again in April. Indeed, from a volume standpoint, the dealers reported they sold 0.9% fewer tires in April relative to the previous year’s period.

TPMS: Honda Pilot and Ridgeline, 2005-2016

Whenever the engine is running, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) control unit continuously monitors all four tires and the system. If it detects less than 24 psi (168 kPa) in a tire, it alerts the driver by turning on the low pressure indicator, turning on the appropriate tire(s) indicator on the multi-information display, and setting a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) in the control unit.

New Dunlap & Kyle Facility Increases Efficiency

The new Dunlap & Kyle warehouse in Madison, Tenn., gives General Manager Adam Waldrup almost everything he needs to take care of his customers. It doubles the size of the company’s former warehouse in the greater Nashville area. It was designed for efficiency, with permanent racking and automatic lighting. There is also wire guidance between aisles for the forklifts.

“The sidewall armor really creates a unique ‘pop’ from the sidewall,” says Yokohama’s Bob Abram. “We think this is also going to be a very important feature for our dealers to sell this tire, and to attract consumers to it.”
