Europe Plans Action Against Aging Tires and Unsafe Worn Tires

Over the last couple of years I have written about the ongoing campaign in the United Kingdom tire sector to place a total ban on aging tires, and in particular those over 10 years old fitted to buses and coaches. The campaign has been at least partially successful.

Latin Tyre Expo Turns 10: New, Retreaded Tire Markets Were Examined

The Latin Tyre Expo celebrated its 10th anniversary in late June at the Atlapa Convention Center in Panama City, Panama. The Expo has become the leading event for suppliers and manufacturers to connect with leading tire distributors and dealers from Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean regions (LATAM).

TPMS: Lexus RX Series, 2016-19

In Lexus RX Series vehicles (2016-2019), a tire pressure warning valve and transmitter (equipped with a tire pressure sensor and a transmitter) is installed in each tire and wheel assembly. 

Drew Howlett says Falken’s OE success means dealers can expect to see more crossover owners seeking Falken brand replacement tires. The company continues to beef up its product mix, and in the fourth quarter it will launch the pictured WildPeak A/T Trail tire, an all-terrain tire specifically designed for crossovers.
