Tire Kingdom continues South Carolina expansion

Posted on October 1, 2002

Tire Kingdom Inc. will open three more stores in South Carolina later this month, which will bring its total number of outlets in that state up to five.

Two shops will be located in Columbia, S.C., and the other will be in Aiken, S.C.

The Riviera Beach, Fla.-based chain already has outlets in Rock Hill, S.C., and Hilton Head, S.C.

It also has purchased property in Greenville, S.C.

"We should be pushing 230 (stores) by the end of the year," says Tire Kingdom President and CEO Orland Wolford, who calls the TBC Corp.-owned dealership's push into the Carolinas "a natural extension."
