Hankook Tire America Corp. reports it will bring its Kingstar brand to the United States beginning in the fourth quarter of 2012.

"With more consumers shopping the value tire segment, our Kingstar brand will help provide them with the products they are looking for,” says Soo Il Lee, president. “Along with the Hankook and Aurora brands, the Kingstar brand will allow us to strengthen our overall market share in the United States.”

Two passenger tires will be marketed t under the Kingstar brand: the ultra-high performance Road Fit SK10, available in 15- through 18-inch sizes, and the passenger touring Centum SK72, available in 13- through 16-inch sizes.

The Kingstar brand has previously only been available in Europe and South America. Additional future Kingstar products for the U.S. market will include light truck tires.
