Bridgestone Signs Deal for Digital Tire Inflation Machines

Posted on December 10, 2015

Bridgestone Americas Inc. has signed a deal giving its dealers the option to install digital air calibration machines from Excel Tire Gauge Inc. in their stores. The digital air calibration machines streamline the tire inflation process by automatically inflating or deflating tires.

“We are excited to make the Excel Tire Gauge program available to the Bridgestone Affiliated Retailer Nationwide Network,” says John Baratta, president of consumer replacement tire sales, U.S. and Canada.

“This state-of-the-art equipment is easy to use and will give our retailers another way to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.”

Founded in the U.S. in 1999, Excel Tire Gauge now has more than 100,000 digital air machines installed nationwide. Designed to deliver accuracy and efficiency, the digital air calibration machines from Excel Tire Gauge achieve proper inflation pressure within .5 psi in seconds.

“We are delighted that Bridgestone has selected Excel Tire Gauge as a preferred partner for its Bridgestone Affiliated Retailer Nationwide Network,” says Jay Nelson, CEO of Excel Tire Gauge. “This new program represents the very best in three distinct business segments — tire manufacturing, tire dealerships and digital air calibration.”

Bridgestone says its retail network provides marketing and business support programs designed to foster growth and drive sales for independent tire dealers. Many external partners also supply marketing and sales support through the program. Participating retailers also have access to the premium Bridgestone and Firestone tire brands.
