The Tire Pros network of franchised tire retailers has surpassed 700 stores.

Tire Pros reached the milestone with the signing of Same Day Auto Repair Inc., which goes to market as Same Day Tire and Auto Repair. The five-store chain serves the greater Tulsa, Okla., market.

American Tire Distributor Inc.'s franchise program ended 2015 with 702 outlets representing more than 500 individual owners. Tire Pros had a net gain of 65 stores in 2015.

“We are pleased with last year’s store growth and expect similar growth for the foreseeable future as more and more independent dealers recognize the depth of support provided through the Tire Pros franchise,” says Dan Brown, president of Tire Pros.

“In 2015, 36% of our new location growth came from multi-store regional dealers who seek deeper operational and marketing support and broader association with like-minded tire retailers. Our five newest stores are great examples of this.”

Same Day Tire and Auto Repair owners Danny and Tina Smith officially joined the program in late December.

“We have learned a thing or two over the years about what works in this business and we’ve enjoyed a good measure of success,” says Danny Smith. “But we’re never satisfied with the levels we’ve attained and are always looking for that next rung on the ladder. We believe Tire Pros offers the opportunities and support we need to continue our climb.”

The Smiths opened their first location in 1996 focused on no-appointment auto diagnostic and repair with ultra-fast turn-around times. The concept proved popular and has propelled their growth to the five locations in Tulsa, Sand Springs, and Bixby. Tire Pros says the Smith’s go-to-market positioning fits perfectly with the franchise’s aim to provide customers a hassle-free, fast and simply tire and service experience.

Until recently, Smith’s business plan had focused primarily on auto repair. “For 20 years that business plan, with only minor adjustments, had served us well; but we are now finding that tires are a real driving force in obtaining and retaining customers,” says Danny Smith.

“We thought long and hard before determining that affiliating with Tire Pros was the right move for us. Change may be difficult but with open minds come open doors and we’re honored that this great milestone for us also sets one for the Tire Pros organization.”

Brown summed up the significance of the 700th outlet: “We believe reaching this mark speaks to the strength and quality of our existing Tire Pros dealers who continue to be the best advocates for our program to prospective franchisees.

“Danny and Tina are great examples of the caliber of dealers we find ourselves surrounded with at Tire Pros. We congratulate them on uniting their five stores with 695 similarly-focused Tire Pros locations.”

The Tire Pros franchise program brings tire dealers together under a shared national brand and offers them dedicated retail sales consultation and marketing support, training, financial management, and additional buying enhancements.

Through their Tire Pros affiliation, dealers are able to offer an industry-leading warranty package featuring complimentary roadside assistance that is honored at over 30,000 service centers nationwide, among other benefits. For more information, visit www.tirepros.com.
