Plaza Tire Hits a Milestone — 60 Stores!

Plaza Tire Service Inc. has opened its 60th store. The second-generation tire dealer has opened up shop in Moberly, Mo.

The Moberly store represents Plaza Tire's eighth location in Mid-Missouri. The dealership, founded in1963 by Vernon Rhodes, is owned by his sons, Mark Rhodes and Scott Rhodes. The company owns stores in Missouri, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky and Northeastern Arkansas.

The new store is located at 529 East Highway 24 in Moberly. It is approximately 5,400 square feet and features seven service bays, allowing it to handle a large volume of vehicles. The store was built from the ground up and took approximately six months to complete.

"As we build new stores, we’re always looking for opportunities to make the workflow as efficient as possible for our employees and to make the showroom and waiting area open and welcoming for customers," says Scott Rhodes. "Our stores feature large windows into the shop area so customers can see what’s happening as our technicians work on their vehicles. We also have comfortable seating, televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi available."

The service bays are equipped to handle tire installations and repairs, wheel balancing, alignments, brakes, shock and strut replacements, oil changes, battery replacements and other services. The location also is equipped to perform fluid flushes for transmissions, power steering systems, coolant systems and brake systems.

"We see a lot of opportunity in Moberly," says Mark Rhodes, president of Plaza Tire Service. "We have been serving the Mid-Missouri market since 2004, and we are excited to be open and serving the residents of Moberly."

The Moberly location is managed by longtime Plaza Tire Service employee Steve St. Clair, a resident of the Moberly area. Six employees work at the Moberly location.

Weekday hours for the new Moberly location are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the store is open 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Call the store at (660) 269-7991.
