Posted on November 1, 2017

Horizon Tire Inc. has added a passenger tire to its Supermax truck tire line: the Supermax Touring TM-1. Horizon is displaying the tire at Booth No. 41233 in the Global Tire Expo at the 2017 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas.

The company says the all-season grand touring tire features the following:

* a UTQG rating of 600 AA on most sizes;

* high rubber volume and a stiffer centerline with longitudinal ribs;

* narrow shoulder blocks with lateral grooves;

* an optimized tread design, the result of "advanced digital simulation."

The Tier 3 tire is available in 32 sizes; 10 more sizes will be added to the lineup by the end of the year.

The 42-size line will range from 175/70R13 82T to 245/45R18 100V. There will be one 13-inch size, three 14-inch sizes, nine 15-inch sizes, 10 16-inch sizes, 15 17-inch sizes, and four 18-inch sizes.

Horizon adds the tire will be manufactured in Thailand.

The 2017 SEMA Show will run through Friday, Nov. 3, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
