Hunter Releases Quick Check Spec for WinAlign HD Software

Posted on November 8, 2017

Hunter Engineering Co. has added Quick Check Spec to its WinAlign HD software to reduce the time to determine alignment readings on commercial vehicles.

Hunter says Quick Check Spec allows heavy-duty truck service providers to quickly diagnose alignment condition and present readings for all angles that cause premature tire wear in just three minutes, by eliminating the need to find the axle tag before performing a WinAlign HD Quick Check.

Quick Check Spec is used to compare alignment readings and diagnose misalignment on over 80% of heavy-duty trucks. This easy-to-use spec saves the technician from doing double duty before a misalignment is diagnosed, according to Hunter.

The company says preventive alignment maintenance programs and service facilities that routinely check heavy-duty truck wheel alignment readings can increase tire life by about 20% and decrease fuel consumption by about 2% by keeping heavy-duty trucks properly aligned.

Hunter product manager Don Glaser says, “Our faster WinAlign HD Quick Check with Quick Check Spec enhances shop productivity and speeds alignment service allowing the shop to sell more alignment service and prevent premature tire wear.”
