Bridgestone Retail Stores Raise $1.4 Million for Boys and Girls Clubs

Posted on November 14, 2017

Bridgestone Retail Operations LLC has raised $1.4 million for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America this year. Customers of the company's retail stores generated most of the money by rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar, with the proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Clubs.

The "Driving Great Futures" campaign also received support from Bridgestone's key vendor partners: Interstate Batteries, Shell, and ITW/QMI.

“I’d like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this promotion, especially our loyal customers for their generous support and our store teammates for leading the charge,” said Joe Venezia, president of Bridgestone Retail. “A high-quality club experience, combined with regular attendance, drives positive youth outcomes such as graduating on time, volunteering in the community, being physically active and abstaining from risky behaviors. Through Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we can truly help to drive great futures in the local neighborhoods where we live, work and do business.”

This is the third year of Bridgestone's partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs, and to date the company has donated $3.8 million.

Jim Clark, CEO and president of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, says the partnership with Bridgestone "is so valuable to Boys & Girls Clubs of America because the funds raised truly impact our clubs and the lives of the children and teens we serve.”
