Falken will increase the price of its Sincera SN250 A/S line in 2018.

With the new year will come price increases for select Falken passenger, light truck and truck tires. That makes Falken Tire Corp. the first U.S. tire manufacturer to announce price increases.

The increases are as follows:

* a 3% increase on Sincera SN250 A/S and Wildpeak A/T3W consumer tires.

* a 5% increase on the RI130, RI150, RI151, BI830 and BI850 truck tires.

"These modest price increases will properly position these tire lines in the marketplace and reflect the value of the Falken brand," says the company. The increases will take effect Jan. 1, 2018.

The last time Falken announced a price increase was last February.

Falken Tire, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc., markets 14 passenger and light truck tire models under seven lines in nine categories and 300 sizes. It also offers a full lineup of medium truck tires for commercial use.
