Tire Rack Continues Its Sponsorship of One Lap of America

Posted on April 12, 2018

Tire Rack Inc. is extending its title sponsorship of the One Lap of America.

“Tire Rack welcomes the 35th edition of the One Lap of America, a partnership that began 16 years ago,” says Matt Edmonds, executive vice president of Tire Rack, “and carries on in 2018 with a sellout field of 85 teams competing for a week for the overall win as well as numerous class bragging rights.

"Due to our decades of experience in the tire and wheel industry, we are passionate about continuing to support and educate drivers from all experience levels about the capabilities of their tires and how proper maintenance, traction, safety and durability can be maximized on and off the track. The combination of road drives and track competitions that occur during the One Lap adventure embody all of these facets.”

Brock Yates Jr., event coordinator, says, "From the start of our relationship Tire Rack has gone above and beyond what we could have ever expected from a title sponsor. Apart from supporting the event, Tire Rack has worked closely with the hundreds of participants we have had over the years to ensure they have the right equipment to be competitive and safe. We appreciate all that Tire Rack continues to do in support of the One Lap and look forward to another memorable year."

Created by Brock Yates and popularized by the movie Cannonball Run, todays One Lap of America challenges participants to endure long transit drives of over 400 miles daily and to compete on 12 of Americas most challenging racetracks in nine days. This year's One Lap begins on May 4 and runs through May 12, 2018. The full schedule is available online at
