Giti Brings Its Namesake Brand of Truck Tires to North America

Posted on June 28, 2018

Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. is bringing the Giti brand to North America with a full lineup of commercial truck tires.

The tire maker, which built a consumer tire manufacturing plant in Chester County, S.C., says it provides original equipment commercial truck tires to more than 300 models of trucks and buses worldwide.

“We are very excited to be launching the Giti brand of commercial truck tires in the US and Canada," says Armand Allaire, executive vice president of commercial sales for Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. "Having our own R&D Center in South Carolina affords us access to global technology while focusing on specific service conditions for our clientele in North America.

"Our Giti brand incorporates outstanding retreadability into 17 tread patterns and 59 SKUs. We also updated pattern naming conventions to help users and dealers select the correct application, making it simple for owner operators, fleets and dealers to shop. For instance, GTL922FS means Giti Trailer Long Haul and FS is Fuel Saving.”

The lineup for North America will include tires for long haul, regional, urban/light duty and mixed service applications.

Next generation technologies are available to North American fleets and owner operators featuring the new GSR225 regional steer tire; GDL633FS long haul ultra wide base drive tire; GTL933FS long haul ultra wide base trailer tire; and the GAM851 all-position mixed service tire.

I was under the impression that GITI sold out to BS/FS when they informed their loyal dealer base several years ago that they would no longer be offering us product as they were shifting all their production to Dayton brand? Now this ship of fools wants back in? Good luck with that Gentlemen.
