Nexen Releases Tire Shopping App for Consumers

Posted on September 10, 2018

Nexen Tire America Inc. has created a mobile app for consumers to help them shop for tires.

The app provides detailed tire specs, including speed rating, warranty information and ratings for braking, comfort, fuel efficiency, handling and tire wear. Key features include:

  • a tire finder that lets users search by vehicle or tire size;
  • detailed information on every tire;
  • interactive 360-degree photography for realistic viewing;
  • access to informative product videos; and
  • links to Nexen resources and social media channels

The app is available on the iTunes and Google Play app stores.

“Shopping for tires is often confusing and intimidating, so we want to make the process as simple and streamlined as possible,” says Kyle Roberts, senior director of marketing at Nexen. “With our new mobile app, customers can browse through our extensive selection of passenger, light truck and performance tires to compare specs and find the right tire for their vehicle. The app also helps locate the nearest dealer, all from the convenience of a smartphone. We want to provide as much information as possible, in a visual, interactive manner without unnecessary and confusing tire jargon. We hope this app will be a valuable resource for anyone that is currently shopping for tires or plans to in the near future.”

    Doesn't sound like a whole lot of difference between this and going to the website? Customers likely won't download an app, space on a mobile phone home screen comes at a premium. But it does sound cool to say we have an app though doesn't it?
