Discount Tire Added 55 Stores in 2018

Discount Tire crossed the 1,000-store threshold in September 2018, and also opened this outlet in Henrico, Va., during the year.

Discount Tire added 55 stores nationwide in 2018, with nine outlets opened in December alone.

The latest store openings occurred in six states: Arkansas, Kansas, North Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin and Virginia. The cities and the dates of the store openings follow:

Watauga, Texas – Dec. 10

San Antonio, Texas - Dec. 21

Jacksonville, N.C. - Dec. 21

Denton, Texas – Dec. 24

Plano, Texas – Dec. 24

Olathe, Kan. – Dec. 26

Madison, Wis. – Dec. 28

Bristol, Va. – Dec. 31

North Little Rock, Ark. – Dec. 31

The company now has 1,020 stores. The parent company, Reinalt-Thomas Corp., does business as Discount Tire (and America’s Tire in parts of California). The 1,000th Discount Tire store was opened on Sept. 10, 2018.

    As an employee of the company, I can attest that we always try to balance assemblies to the best of our ability but will say that the balancers that we use are highly finicky and can be very inaccurate.
