Industrial Tire Service Salesman Wins Top Prize From Continental

Posted on April 23, 2019

More than 300 salespeople from 69 tire dealerships qualified for a chance to run wild in a warehouse filled with prizes and grab as many as possible, courtesy of Continental Tire the Americas LLC. Wayne Winders from Industrial Tire Service Inc. will run in the inaugural "untamed dealer dash."

Winders will recieve a trip for two to New York City in June, where he and his wife Ashley will run through Continental's gift warehouse. In 60 seconds they'll be able to choose from flat screen TVs, electronics, hunting and fishing equipment and home appliances. Continental says it expects the Winders will be able to grab between $7,000 and $10,000 worth of prizes.

Members of Continental's Horsepower dealer rewards program were eligible to qualify for the event.

Industrial Tire Service sells passenger, commercial and specialty tires, and also retreads tires across six locations in Washington and Oregon. The company has been selling Continental tires since 1985 and is a ContiLifeCycle retreader. Industrial Tire Service is celebrating its 50th year in business and is a third-generation tire dealer.

Winders has worked there since 2000. He says the Horsepower program offers "great incentives and rewards," and he and his family "get rewarded for my hard work."

He has one particular prize on his shopping list. “A monster TV to watch my Seattle SeaHawks on!”

Of the 300 salespeople eligible, Winders was chosen in a random drawing. “I could not believe I was chosen for the dash. Everyone from Continental is great and always gives me all the tools to be successful.”

What is Horsepower?

The Horsepower program rewards salespeople working for Continental tire dealers in the U.S. and Canada. The salespeople earn rewards based on the number of Continental- and General-brand commercial truck and bus tires and ContiPressureCheck digital tire monitoring solutions they sell during the year. There are three award levels, and each one provides more rewards and benefits, including entries into the random drawing for the dealer dash. (Silver level participants receive one entry, gold participants receive two entries, and platinum participants receive three entries into the drawing.) Winders reached the platinum level in 2018, selling 4,300 tires.

Winders says he recommends and sells Continental tires because, “they are a premium quality tire that Continental stands behind.”

Dealer salespeople interested in participating in the 2019 Horsepower program should speak to their local Continental representative. The drawing for the next Untamed Dealer Dash will be held in March 2020. Entries will be based on 2019 full year sales submitted to the Horsepower portal.
