Florida Jiffy Lube Franchisees Add 2 More Stores

Posted on June 21, 2019

South Bay Lube Inc. has added two more locations to its Jiffy Lube Multicare franchise in Florida, giving owners Jason Thomas and Leif Oskarsson 31 locations in the state.

In May the duo opened a new four-bay store in St. Cloud, which is southeast of Orlando. The store at 860 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway features Jiffy Lube's Multicare model, which means it offers tires, brakes, batteries and engine diagnostics, in addition to the brand's standard oil change business.

Jiffy Lube, which is a wholly owned, indirect subsidiary of Shell Oil Co., launched the Multicare business model in 2017. Before that, tires hadn't been a focus of the brand.

South Bay Lube also acquired a four-bay store in Largo, which is in the Tampa Bay area. The store at 9420 Ulmerton Road is open and operating as a Jiffy Lube Multicare store, but its renovations are ongoing.

"I'm excited about our growth over the past several years," says Thomas, co-owner of South Bay Lube. "We are always looking for opportunities to grow our footprint to better serve consumers in the community."

Thomas and Oskarsson have been Jiffy Lube franchisees for 25 years. Their stores are located in southwest, central and northeast Florida.
