The Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 ultra-high-peformance SUV tire is available on the Porsche Cayenne.

The Ventus S1 evo 3 is a "tailor-made original equipment tire for the new SUV model of the Stuttgart, Germany-based sports car manufacturer, which fully meets the high demands placed on the segment," say Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. officials.

Size P285/40ZR21 XL tires are on the front of the vehicle. Its rear wheels feature the tire in size P315/35ZR21 XL.

According to Hankook, the Ventus S1 evo 3 features "a new generation of innovative materials based on high-performance natural resins in the tread compound. This not only increases the grip level in the peak of (the vehicle's) power output," but it also provides a high level of grip across a wide temperature range.

The tire also contains special nylon materials in its sidewall to help ensure a high degree of driving stability. And Hankook's CapPly hybrid aramid material over the steel cord belts and two-layer rayon carcass construction help enhance its durability.

"Due to the vehicle load in combination with sporty driveability, low rolling resistance and high load capacity, it was very challenging to develop the tire design for the Porsche Cayenne," says Klaus Krause, head of Hankook's European research and development center. "The new Ventus S1 evo 3 meets these requirements well in both wet and dry conditions."
