The Philadelphia-based wholesale distributor staged a family-style block party as part of the event, which was attended by members of its Xcelerate dealer program, most of whom are from the greater Philadelphia and New Jersey areas, Michelle McConnon, Allen Rubber’s director of marketing, told MTD.

Allen Rubber’s suppliers – including Nexen Tire Corp., Yokohama Tire Corp., Sentury Tire USA Inc., Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. and TBC Brands LLC – also exhibited at the event’s trade show.

“From the start (of the event), we gave away prizes every 15 minutes,” says Craig Myers, Allen Rubber’s secretary and treasurer. “This year we gave away over $3,500 in cash and gift cards.”

The distributor’s Xcelerate program is open to “everyone who buys tires from us,” says McConnon. Membership benefits include an Allen Rubber-exclusive road hazard protection program that goes “above and beyond manufacturers’ warranties,” as well as access to the company’s online tire buying portal, where dealers can access unique rebates.
