Yokohama Will Highlight Its Racing Heritage During SEMA

Yokohama Tire Corp. will highlight its racing heritage at next month's Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nev.

Located outside the south hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Yokohama's new truck and trailer will anchor the company's race-themed display and will feature a full range of recently launched tires, including the Advan Apex, Advan Sport A/S+, Advan A052, Geolandar X-AT, Geolandar X-CV, Geolandar X-MT, Geolandar M/T G003 and others.

In addition, "several unique cars will be on-hand in a visually impactful, multi-level display," say Yokohama officials. These will include a BMW M3 E46 GTR, a Panoz Esperante GTLe, a Porsche 911 GTS Cup, a Porsche Cyman GT4 Clubsport, Racer Engineering's 2019 Baja trophy truck, and more.

Action sports star Travis Pastrana will sign autographs at Yokohama's booth on Wed., Nov. 6, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and Thursday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to noon.

He will be joined by his wife, pro skateboarder Lyn-z Pastrana, as well as fellow Nitro Circus member Blake "Bilko" Williams.

And Yokohama and Nitro Circus will partner with SEMA Ignited to present an exclusive Nitro Circus Motorcross show on Friday, Nov. 8, during the official after-party of the SEMA Show. Yokohama will have a display at SEMA Ignited, which will be open to the public from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Platinum Lot (3150 Paradise Rd.) by the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"Racing, both on-road and off-road, has been a hallmark of Yokohama; it's in our DNA," says Andrew Briggs, the company's vice president of marketing and product management. "We're looking forward to vividly presenting our storied racing legacy, rich heritage and all-new product line-up to the worldwide trade audience and car enthusiasts who attend."

The 2019 SEMA Show runs from Nov. 5-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
