Mitchell 1 Adds Online Appointment Scheduling

Posted on November 6, 2019

Mitchell 1 is highlighting a new online appointment scheduling feature and “smarter” wiring diagrams at the 2019 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) this week in Las Vegas, Nev.

The company says its SocialCRM auto shop marketing service's new online appointment feature will make it more convenient for consumers and auto repair shops to schedule appointments for auto repair and maintenance services.

The feature is integrated with the Manager SE shop management system and allows consumers to request an appointment directly on the shop’s website or from an email sent from the shop. The request is automatically delivered to the shop’s Manager SE system with an alert that a request has arrived. The shop can then review the request and accept or decline based upon availability. When accepted, the confirmed request is added to the shop’s schedule and the system automatically sends a text or email to the consumer to verify the appointment.

“We are delighted to offer this service that not only makes it very convenient for consumers to book appointments, but also helps shops manage their schedules more efficiently, while helping ensure their bays stay full,” said Marcus Mackell, marketing manager for Mitchell 1, SocialCRM.

The new feature is included with all SocialCRM subscriptions and is being demonstrated in the Mitchell 1 booth # 2471 at AAPEX.

The company says the latest release of ProDemand builds on the major wiring diagram enhancements introduced earlier this year, making the diagrams even “smarter” and increasing ease of use and efficiency.

The earlier enhancements included component-level navigation, automatic highlighting of traces, and sustained highlighting and zoom across pages. The wiring diagrams now feature even more streamlined navigation including retention of the “hidden state” of circuits when moving between diagrams, new “next/previous” arrows on the sides of the diagrams and improvements to the hide and pan functionality.

“Our product development team constantly reviews user feedback and continues to implement improvements to help technicians work more accurately and efficiently. The latest enhancements to the intelligent wiring diagrams are just one example of our efforts to keep improving the software,” said Gary Hixson, marketing manager for ProDemand at Mitchell 1.

The company says ProDemand provides complete OEM repair, estimating and maintenance information and exclusive real-world industry insights in a single lookup, to help automotive technicians repair vehicles more efficiently. Key features include expert-based real fixes, scalable color wiring diagrams, the latest technical service bulletins (TSB), common replaced parts graphs and integrated estimating with the Mitchell 1 Manager SE shop management system.
