Goodyear Keeps Commercial Stores Open With Unchanged Hours

Posted on March 25, 2020

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.’s Goodyear Tire & Service Center locations will remain open with unchanged business hours during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Modern Tire Dealer asked Goodyear for the status of its commercial locations after the company announced it would reduce hours at its Goodyear Auto Service and Just Tires retail stores.

In a prepared statement, Goodyear said its commercial locations “have an essential role in meeting tire and service needs and are expected to remain open with unchanged business hours.”

In states where shelter-in-place or similar non-essential business closure orders have been issued, Goodyear said its commercial stores “are expected to remain open as commercial vehicle service providers deliver essential goods and services.”

Goodyear said all centers are following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and taking additional preventative measures, including increased disinfecting, physical distancing and enhanced visitor protocols.
