Registration for the 2014 Off-the-Road Tire Conference already has set a record -- and it doesn't start until Feb. 19! The four-day conference, sponsored by the Tire Industry Association (TIA), will be held at the Marco Island Marriott Resort & Golf Club in Naples, Fla.

UHP tires and your service bays:

Up to 2009, drivers who wanted to dress up their rides often chose expensive tire fitments greater than 22 inches in size. When the economy slowed, the trend became more UHP fitments on smaller vehicles. “UHP fitments have continued to grow, but we’ve seen the predominant size range shift from 22-plus to the 16- to 20-inch range,” says Kevin Keefe, vice president of marketing for Hennessy Industries Inc.

Innovative Products of America announced that its Mobile Tire Pressure Equalizer has been redesigned to include air toggle valves, an internal storage compartment, side mounted hose hangers and holsters for aftermarket air chucks.


Schrader helps shops choose TPMS partner

Schrader International Inc. has launched “Make the EZ-Choice,” a campaign revolving around tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) strategy, operational best practices, and keys to profitability.

Schrader says it is currently the only U.S.-based manufacturer of complete TPMS systems for the automotive industry.

Schrader set to open expanded Tenn. plant
