An electric future for tires in Europe

In the past couple of months I have attended several tire and automotive shows in Europe which has given me a good insight into what is happening at the moment. It would be fair to say that there are a number of producers currently embarking on exciting developments for the future.


Bridgestone will open Thai Tech Center in July

The Bridgestone Asia Pacific PTE Ltd. (BSAP) subsidiary of Bridgestone Corp. will establish a new technical center in Thailand. The technical center is expected to open in July, 2013.


Bridgestone Tokyo plant reopens after fire

The Bridgestone Corp. Tokyo plant is back in production following a temporary shutdown after an Aug. 1, 2011 fire. The fire occurred in the Banbury area of the facility. The plant produces passenger, light truck, medium truck and aircraft tires.


Bridgestone will move some BBTS functions

Bridgestone Americas Inc. will begin the process of moving members of Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions' senior management team from Muscatine, Iowa, to the Nashville, Tenn., area.


Counteract to supply Bridgestone in Brazil

Bridgestone donates to Pakistan relief
