VAA Fights Possible Vehicle Inspection Ban

Tire dealers and auto repair shops in Virginia will no longer be able to provide vehicle inspections if state legislators approve of Governor Ralph Northam’s new budget proposal.


50 years and counting: A history of the VAA

L.C Miller Jr. was on the losing side of a public policy debate involving the regrooving of tires in 1964. The experience led to a win for independent tire dealers and retreaders. In 1965, Miller founded the Virginia Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association, the forerunner to the Virginia Automotive Association (VAA).

The Virginia Automotive Association (VAA) is holding its 2010 trade show on Saturday, April 24, at the Marriott Hotel in Williamsburg, Va. The show will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
